Kauai, Hawaii - Has To Be Heaven On Earth

We had so much fun in Hawaii, it was unbelievable! Even though it was very unseasonably windy, overcast, cold & rainy (so we were told), nothing could take away from the overwhelming beauty with its beautiful water and rich vegetation. Here are just a few pictures from the trip...

Just as we were near the top, we saw a beautiful

rainbow right in the middle of the canyon.

This was definitely the hardest hike I had ever been on, but

man was it worth it! It was so beautiful, even with the

overcast and rainy weather.

One of the most awe inspiring things of the whole trip was just all of the rich vegetation and

beautiful rich colors everywhere you turned.

Of course there were tons of beautiful birds, many of which you could see everyday in the lobby of the hotel!

This will definitely be the most memorable trip that I have ever been on. I am so thankful for Darrel and his huge heart!

1 More Week!!

OK, so I totally suck at keeping up with you this blog. I only have one more week from today! I SOOOOO cannot wait. This has been a crazy couple of weeks, so I am even more ready for the trip now. I will probably load a bunch of pictures on here when we come back.

Well, first Hannah got a little sick on Thursday (2-5-09) and we had to stay most of the night at the Texas Children's Hospital ER. Thankfully she is alright now. Then, the next Thursday (2-12-09) my dad gets really sick and ends up having to have a blood transfusion (4 pints). He had to spend all weekend in the hospital, and he was not thrilled to say the least. He finally got out on Wednesday (2-18-09) after a bunch of tests that we have not found out the results to yet. We are praying and crossing our fingers that the Lord will take care of him and see that the worst that we have imagined does not come true.

Countdown Begins

- - 26 More Days - - OK, so now the countdown begins. Clint & I will be leaving for Hawaii on March 1st. We received the trip through the Carrier manufacturers that we do a lot of work with. Clint's brother Darrel was nice enough to give us the trip, kind of as a thank you for what we do. Of course I have been counting down since we found out back in September, but now it is less than a month away. I have wanted to go ever since I was in high school, so this is like a dream come true for me. We will be there March 1 - March 6. I really need to start getting my butt in gear...

OK - This is my first blog...I just had to show this cute picture of my baby Christiana and my nephew Reese. Aren't they too cute??? Cherise babysat while I went out with my mom, brother, sis-in-law and sister for my birthday. It was tons of fun.
